By transferring toys such as Legos or Playmobil pieces to uniform storage containers, you can stack them up and really organize your shelves. Likewise, bigger items such as stuffed animals and dress-up clothes can be readily stored in baskets. Baskets are easy to handle, easy to work with, and are an economical way to solve your storage needs.
That is what you need to remember. Showing kids how to clean and maintain the cleanliness of their room will make them follow this important routine. You also need to make cleaning fun. Make it more like playing than actually cleaning.
Here are some tips for adding storage to your kids room that are fast and easy: Buy and use a closet organizer for added space and to make it easy for your child to keep his or her clothing put away. Some come with shelves or drawers and others have two poles for hanging up clothing.
Use stackable drawers to keep their toys in. These are great because they are inexpensive and can be stacked in a corner leaving the middle of the floor open and clear of clutter. Wicker baskets and hope chests are great for storing stuff animals or toys.
