In order to manage your kids stuff, you need to know which possessions have real meaning to them. These are those precious items that really are important. They differ from the other stuff in that they have lasting significance to your kids, and they would be hurt if these things were taken from them. On the other hand, a lot of stuff that they get is truly forgettable and disposable. I have noticed with my kids that a new gift gets a lot of attention, but within a very short period of time they get bored with it and move on.
Kid friendly storage, consider purchasing open-front stackable bins that will keep toys off the floor where they might cause someone to trip, yet let kids retrieve playthings without assistance. Stackable units are a blessing if your child has more toys than one bin can hold. Tow toys that dont get daily use in a large plastic box. Because kids can always keep an eye on the contents, they probably wont protest. Stash boxes of second-string toys in the back of a closet or under a bed.
Have a fun music play in the background, and play with the toys as you go about the cleaning. Tell them stuffs like how dolly likes to stay in the top shelf, and that is her permanent place from now. Or how Mr.Cowboy thinks of the toy box as his home, and that he needs to go home right after playing. Things like these will be remembered by your kids, and they would not think of cleaning as a chore anymore.
There you have it. A perfect storage place for toys or puzzles or books and also a little seat. If you like, you can paint the wooden crate to match the room. Simple mug rack, a simple mug rack, hung low in the childs room, can serve as a hitching post for miscellaneous possessions, such as belts, hats, necklaces, and gloves. A great place to hang the rack would be on the back of or behind the bedroom door. Belts, hats, etc are neatly organized but out of sight.
