The size depends majorly upon the designer’s choice and the décor of the room. However, children tend to pull the longer curtains. Choose the right shades, you wouldn’t want to choose dark shades and themes for curtains in your child’s room as they give a gloomy look. Choose shades that work for day time as well as evenings. Shades that you choose must be bright and appealing.
Lightweight curtains are better than heavy draperies for kids allergic to dust mites, dyes or chemicals, simply because they have less fabric. However, if your kid’s room gets a lot of light, having both transparent and heavy curtains is advisable to protect the room from excessive light, or you can just opt for blinds and shutters, combining with more or less transparent curtains. Regardless of the age and gender, it’s advisable to change curtains every few years to somehow renew the design of the room. Besides, buying new curtains is much cheaper than painting the walls anew, or changing the furniture in your kid’s room.
